3Seasons

I started out my Sims Family in this Expansion Pack with a girl named Ira Sportsmanship. She was quite beautiful with her blonde hair and all, but she wanted to start a family. She didn't just want to just sit around all day and wait for death. So, thanks to this and also the help of University Life, she as a young adult went to college. During winter, she caught a cold, but she still had to go to school. The boy that she sat next to in class saw that she was sick, and offered to come to her dorm room and make her some nice food. She agreed to let him over.
He was a very nice and well raised man, and his name was Jonathan Peelgher. I'll refer to him as John, though
Anyway, they really hit it off and her cold went away after that meal!
They started studying together at the local coffee shop, not mentioning the feelings that they had for each other even though they knew that they were there. So they went on day after day without saying anything.
One day, ...more

BEST. EP. YET. The seasons EP from TS2 was my favorite, and in my opinion the TS3 Seasons is almost as good! We finally get weather after such a long wait! Also, the game boasts seasonal festivals, the return of body temperatures and illness, seasonal holidays, and-drumroll please-ALIENS!
The downside of the pack is the fact that it doesn't come with a new town, but with all this EP has to offer covers that. Seasons is a must-have!

This game is the best I have all the expansion packs except for late night and supernatural but this one is amazing the festivals are really fun and the aliiens can make meteors come anytime anywhere! Which is pretty epic. My favorite season is spring because I like the sound of the rain it sooths me. But all the seasons have something special about them. You could have a feast party or gift giving party which is my favorite also bring festive cheer with holiday lights. YOU SHOULD GET THIS ONE

New Expansion and is the best yet. Snow! But the thunder scares me4Supernatural

Seriously? You can be a Witch, a Werewolf, a FAIRY, or a ghost, or a Vampire (if you don't have that one other game) and a Genie (if you do have that one other game)
As a Witch, you can have spell casting duels and turn people into toads or cast a love charm!
Werewolves can make you a small fortune with their hunting abilities, and I admit, I love to watch them scratch the furniture!
Fairies can shrink down! And they have their own houses! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR AWESOME! They can have house parties and normal sized humans who can't shrink down to show up? Well, they can just dance outside!
This game offers a lot of new options, why wouldn't you choose this game?

This is a very fun game because you don't need to buy all of these dumb expansion packs just for one thing you want. You can get this and say you want to be a vampire, you can still be a vampire and if you change your mind, you can be a werewolf, fairy, ghost, zombie, whitch the only sucky thimg about it is that it lists genie but you have to have a certain expansion pack for it. And if you like zombies, well lets just say they pop up every where. They pop up in your front yard, back yard, and even out in the town and at neighbor's houses. Don't freak out if you see one of your sim friends are zombies because sometimes they just use random people for zombies. If you want to be a zombie, then I would suggest to stay outside and stay near zombies. If it says zombie attack on your to-do list than you may become a zombie. I don't know because every time it says that for me I usual delete it and run into my house. If you live on the beach in moonlight falls then you will get a ton and I ...more

The best expansion pack so far. I love everything about it. You can be a witch, a fairy, or a werewolf, vampire, ghost, even genie. You can marry another supernatural type and the offsprings have 50-50 chance of being each parent's type. It adds zombies on full moon, adds lunar phases, new moodlets, alchemy skill which is great, you can hunt for stuff and mix potions. If you have enemies, you can totally change their life for worse with a single potion, even make them toads. I once converted all simbots to toads, it was so funny. I love genetics in the game, new clothing, new stuff, each supernatural type has at least one special skill added specifically for that type, and you also get new traits like supernatural fan or a skeptic. And now imagine if one is a coward and you put them into a graveyard full of zombies on full moon. Nice. I really love it as it adds tone of stuff and new options and conversations. You can literally live as another life form. That would be the number 1 for ...more

This is a great game full of imagination and lots of fun new things. You can know be a vampire, werewolf, fairy, or an amazing witch. You can also be a genie or a zombie, I give this game a 10/10 the graphic are amazing and there are new activitys for your magical sim family. This game should be number 1.5University Life

Short, cute little story
My two sims, Claire and Oliver Peterson, are the children of the billionaires Tiffany and Mark Peterson. The two kids were raised well and had a lot of skills Claire was more musically and artistically inclined and Oliver was logical and more handy.
They got full scholarships and went to Uni as YA Claire was in Fine Arts and Oliver in Science and Medicine .
Oliver became apart of the nerd social group and was a total outcast. He talked rarely to no one and just played video games and studied in his spare time alone in his dorm room.
Claire got caught up in boys and her hormones and ahem...let's just leave that here...
After a while, a guy named Terrence at the comic book store started talking to Oliver and the two became instant best friends. They would study together, play video games, hang out, and participate in science projects.
Claire finally accepted a guy's constant beg to go on a date. They had nothing in ...more

So much fun! I just bought it and I think it is great. I like it so much I play it a lot. I can't wait to get another expansion pack and find out how much fun that one will be! I really do recommend this one though, because I really and truly do enjoy it. It was a good purchase, worth the money.

It is so cool I got it it

LOVVE SIMS 3 University LifE, you can have a real life experience, with this expanshion pack. You can go to University (and choose your major: Science & Medicine, Comunications, Business, P. E and Technology), You have social groups (Nerd, Jock and Rebel), the campus is beautiful, it has diferent colleges, you have the graduation night, It's so much fun. I lOVE IT!6Island Paradise

I know it's new, but it actually offers so many new gameplay features! Not only is it set on a beautiful, colouful island, but the houses are stunning! You can scuba dive, find treasure, discover uncharted islands, own a resort (customize it however you like), water ski, become a mermaid! And so much more. You also don't need a bunch of different expansions to make this enjoyable, it's like a whole new game all on its own. I absolutely suggest this game to any players who want a fun, tropical environment with loads to do :D

The Island Paradise EP is one of the most graphically impressive expansion pack's of them all. My favourite addition would have to be the Scuba Diving, and the impressive detail the designers put into it. The sharks add an element of danger, and a new way to die! Another aspect of the Sims 3 Island Paradise I love is owning the resorts. It is amazing, and really actually gives you something to design to your heart's content. The only part of the Island Paradise I dislike is how slow the houseboats are- always buy an additional boat to get around!

The Sims 3: Island Paradise is the tenth expansion pack for The Sims 3 announced on a live broadcast for the series from Electronic Arts and to be released on June 25, 2013. According to the broadcast, it will allow sims to travel to islands using a boat, run a resort, and explore under the sea. The offical Creature for the expansion pack is merpeople

Isla Paradiso has lots to offer, compared to other towns. It has dive lots, hidden islands, other small islands, the krakren, resorts, houseboats, allows you to own as many houses as you wish, and MERMAIDS! The dive lots are really cool as the are underwater caves and treasure to be found. But of course you have to be aware of the sharks! The sims 3 Island Paradise is 100% worth buying and it has the fun you can't get from any other sims expansion pack! If you don't own it BUT IT NOW!7Pets

Are you looking for the best Sims 3 Expansion Pack out there? Well, look no further than RIGHT HERE! The Sims 3 Pets Expansion Pack has everything--and mean it...EVERYTHING--from kittens to puppies, from cats to dogs. Horses are also a wonderful addition to the family. You can create a pet for your household, or you can simply just adopt a pet from the shelter. But, if you adopt one from the shelter, hover your mouse over it first and check out their traits! Make sure that they're not destructive--otherwise they might chew, scratch, and/or destroy your furniture! Anyway, the good thing about creating a pet for your house is that you can determine what you want to pet to look like (you can make them pink, purple, any color you want! ) and decide what their traits will be. Recommended traits: non-destructive, loyal (for dogs), shy (if you want them to just communicate with their family rather than everyone else), etc. The Sims 3 Pets is a great expansion pack, and I recommend it for ...more

It has horses! The first Sims game to actually give us horses and the ability to have 'farms! ' 'enough said!

I am a crazy cat lady in real life, so my people obviously own tons and tons of cats! LOL!
But they also own dogs, horses, birds, fish, a chipmunk, a squirrel, and a bird. There have the time of their lives! The people AND the animals!
If your people are bored and sometimes find themselves with nothing to do, then get them a pet! Make sure to provide the pet with all of the things it needs, or the social worker will come and take it away! Oh no!
Your people can become happier based on interactions had with the pet, have life-time wishes based off of something to do with pets, and build relationships from bonding with the pet. It's great! My people have had the times of their lives with their pets, and they love that 100%
I would recommend the pets expansion pack to those who love animals and everything to do with them. And, even if you somehow magically hate animals (impossible) in real life, the Sims 3 Pets Expansion Pack will still be a blast, as people I ...more

When this does come out in October, I am definitely going to buy it because having pets definitely makes life more fun, so if you implement it into The Sims 3, you're going to get mass amounts of fun. - MissChainChomp8Ambitions

You'll get over being a celebrity or a vampire. Late night is good for a couple of days but ambitions. Ambitions is totally worth every penny. It has indefinite replay value and it reminds me of the sims livin large. - romitvarerkar

Gotta say it made the gameplay way less repetitive. Firstly, working finally isn't just your Sim disappearing for a few hours inside a prop building with the fun motive going down - most of the week, but you actually do something on-screen. Plus the inventing skill... Get to the 6th level and have lots of fun blowing stuff up. Dayum, thought Grand Theft Auto was hardcore ;P

I would say ambitions is the best add on. It adds the most gameplay and items to the game. If Late night wouldn't be totally bug ridden, slow and broken I would vote for that. Since EA didn't fix any of Late Nights major bugs yet.

For the first time you can play your sim on the job! Tons of new stuff and professions. I love the interior design path.9World Adventures

The expansion pack focuses on travelling to various areas in a manner similar to previous expansions The Sims: Vacation and The Sims 2: Bon Voyage. Sims are able to travel to simplified versions of France, China, and Egypt. At these locations, sims are able to participate in adventures to earn rewards and benefits. Sims are also able to level up in new skills: photography, martial arts, and nectar making. In addition, the expansion pack provides new objects, socials, wishes, and opportunities

Best expansion pack because it practically expands the game the most.

I. Love. This. Sure it takes up far too much space, but the uniqueness of it is just amazing. So far from the expansion packs I've noticed, a lot of the so-called new features are really just rabbit holes. On one hand I like them 'cause it means that slower computers can handle them, but on the other I don't because it's a lot of money wasted on very little. But World Adventures is actually about you doing things that you can see and control. It's awesome!

EA could learn from this EP. It's the best. And today they could bring a procedurally generated world adventures expansion for the new Sims games.10Into the Future

Gay couples can make genetic babies here, wake up people. It's the expansion we deserveee

I think the ability is over the top you can change your descents life you could change the future their is so much more to uncover in this expansion pack therefore this should be in the top 3 come on guys have you seen the stuff that came with it a food synthesizer, hovering cars and so much more what about plumbots you can have a amazing cook a amazing anything that you want you can make it look like what ever your heart desires so what's your opinion on the sims 3 into the future tell me and vote for into the future to get it in top rank together we can make it happen 2 all my into the future pals

It is so cool, I mean where else can you go to the FUTURE? It comes with the so many new items and clothes, and you can even alter the future. What beats that?

You get to go into the future but then you can come back and change the future! The new furniture and clothes etc.. are really cool and you can play a brand new instrument (laser rythmicon (sorry of I spelt that wrong) the best thing is now you can build plum bots who you control and get trait chips for. You can also discover a crashed ship and fly in a jet pack. It is awesome! Excuse me I'm off into the future!

The Contenders

11High End Lot Stuff

Although the stuff your sims can purchase from this pack are expensive, it's well worth the money. It looks amazing in any household and it matches because it's all new and high-tech like stuff you may get from the future without actually having to be there. (Nobody cares about you, Into the Future Expansion Pack! We all love High End Loft Stuff, thank you very much! )

This doesn't count. This isn't a real expansion; it's just a stuff pack.

This is one of the best stuff packs!

I rgret I even bought this.12Showtime

Its great because you can follow your sims as they rise to fame! I really recommend the town, Starlight Shores. It has HUGE villas for stars and small bungalows for beginners.

This pack is what I like to call 'Late Night's retarded twin' It's mostly the same and the world looks kind of featureless

This expansion pack is by no means the best, simply the one that doesn't get boring easily. Tired of your 'normal' job? Become a singer. Tired of being a singer? Become a magician. Tired of being a magician? Who cares, there are tons of things to do, even if you don't have any other expansion packs.
It's simple and fun how you can have your sim easily start a family while having a job-- simple and a lot easier than the base game jobs!

The Sims 3: Showtime is the sixth expansion pack for The Sims 3 on OS X and Windows. It was released on March 6, 2012. A limited collector's edition includes exclusive in-game content such as a stage and two costumes along with a poster based on American pop singer Katy Perry13Master Suite Stuff

This include really cool outfits and housing items

This one is the most amazing stuff pack there is and can possibly ever be! This gives more furniture (mostly for the parents...if you're looking for kid stuff, that's in generations, my favorite expansion pack! )
Thanks! Best one ever--get the grow-ups something SPECIAL for their awesome room, then get generations for their kids that they make... :0

I really love this expansion its come with cool sleep wear14Dragon Valley

Poor dragon valley... No one likes you

Dragon Valley is great to play with Supernatural, otherwise it's kind of weird to have non magic sims playing around with dragons etc.

This isn't technically an expansion; you don't need the disk. You have to buy it off the Sims 3 website and type in the code. When I bought Dragon Valley, I never actually got it to work because it didn't need a disk and the disk was just EA's version of a horrible money grab.

There's DRAGONS! How can you not like having baby dragons?

The
1570's, 80's and 90's Stuff

We need this in Sims 4

If you also have Generations, it's so funny to have the children watch their grandparents with a strange face as they boogie on the dance floor!
Your a weird-looking' star, grandma!

We need this as an expansion pack for 2019

Stuff Pack; not an expansion.16Movie Stuff

When I saw the trailer I was hooked and you can be so famous I have other cool ones so to add this on to them might make a big change

Beside this is a stuff pack, it actually add something to the game - Chatsa217The Sims 3 University

WHY IS THERE 2 OF THESE

I think it's good. It lets you take your sim to college and meet other sims as well

For what reason Is there 2 University life’s18Barnacle Bay

I love Barnacle Bay--I have indeed fallen in love with it! You can explore many of the pirate-themed restaurants and buildings to get the whole feel of the place, and make sure to go down to the beach and shop at all of the downtown shops before you go!

It is not good19Sunlit Tides

The place is really beautiful and it is good as Isla Paradiso but this one is better because it has better details

Very good I recommend it20Town Life Stuff

This stuff is amazing and is a life saver!21Monte Vista

Adds a great new world with new venues and plenty of new foods to try!

LOVE IT

WATCH POODIEPIE DOPE FRESH NATION YO #skylox23The Sims 3 Late Night - Expansion Pack

It's already in this list, why do you bother to add the second item? - Stallion

The best thing outta it is when you feel the joy and that feelings of being a celeb.Yeah it adds much fun24Hidden Springs

How is this not higher up on the list? Yes, it's only a town, but it a beautiful map with waterfalls and emerald green grass, all of the npcs have interesting backstories and best of all, it comes with The Fountain Of Youth! This is super good because if you (Like me) want the other sims in the town to age while your sims don't, you can! Just take a drink, and eternal youth is all yours! And yes, if you have Supernatural you can just buy the potion but not everyone is into that kind of expansion.

I have it but can't play it I'm so mad cause I can't get the game to start I need help

Thisvis a good town

It reminded me of the movie secret graden25The Sims 3: Pets

I Love this expansion pack, you can buy pets and get them delivered to you house, then you can buy animal needs like hay, straw, beds, foods, and when your pets are dirty you can bathe them and this was my first ever expansion pack I bought and I don't regret it!

I really do like sims 3 pets however I found it quite hard to keep the horses alive

Still the same as the top! - ArcticWolf

I love this one you can have pets and it is really cool26Midnight Hollow

It's dark, gloomy, Gothic and Victorian. My type of town27Monarch Suite

Oh my gosh this is the best ever expansion pack there has ever been!
Decorate the teen girl's room and make it look absolutely fantabulous (awesome! )28Riverview

Nice town. planning on creating a hipster town, I think it would fit

Rubbish29Fast Lane Stuff

This one is lame
Neither I nor my people are in to cars :(((((( booo cars30Outdoor Living

Adds lots of wonderful content that is useful for CAS or Building. A must-have stuff pack.

Not really a change to the normal sims I don't really think there is much point getting this sorry if I defend you but it is rubich

Great game I recommend it :D31Diesel Stuff

I love this pack it add lots of amazing stuff to your game I just wish there were a lot more then there are

The clothes are rad

Why is this here! I think this stuff pack is the best one I love thre clothes in it

Awesome clothes and accessesories!33Lucky Palms

Its awesome because its so beautiful and in genarations it doesn't have a town so you could use this town

It's awesome everything about it

I love Lucky Palms

Lifesimmer useed it = I need it34Aurora Skies

I love the new tiny prodigies learning center that it comes with if you buy the premium version. My toddlers have so much fun there! And even sometimes the kids play there and the teens hangout there!

I love the beautiful skies and how my sims feel happy when they are under them.35Katy Perry's Sweet Treats

The thing about this expansion is that you don't have to like Katy Perry to love it. :)
I'm not a huge Katy Perry fan, but I'm a huge fan of this! As mentioned before, this stuff goes great in rooms or playrooms for children, therefore it goes great with the generations expansion pack, my second favorite. :) As you can tell, my people LOVE their children! And if your people love their children, too, or if they just want to get their party or Katy Perry on or if they just want awesome candy decorations, then the Katy Perry Sweat Treats Expansion Pack may be right for you!

This stuff pack is so good and the furniture is amazing for decorating children's rooms or for party's. this stuff pack has more items included than any other and I think people only say its bad because it is quite a girly pack and you can't use some of the things as everyday use.

This is a good pack I'm not a katy cat but the clothes for women are good

The Clothes are Amazing36Roaring Heights

Very beautiful world with awesome scenes. The sunsets and buildings are beautiful, and the clothing that comes with it is so fitting for the time! If you bought the Theme Park with it, it's so much fun!

I hate this one!

I think this is the best store world

Out of all the store worlds, this is my absolute favorite. First off, it takes after a 20s-30s type aesthetic, which I love. I've been hoping for a midcentury themed world/stuffpack for a while, so I was pretty excited when it got announced. It comes with some really wonderful pincurled hairstyles, and I really love the clothes. It's also got items that offer additional gameplay -- such as a vintage car that you actually build yourself. It's also got animations for when your sim gets into the car. ((This, however, is exclusive to the Classically Cool Fixer-Upper car, and RH doesn't add the feature to other cars. It also comes with a roller coaster, which is pretty fantastic. You even get actual parts so you can build one yourself. The city also comes with a bunch of different skyscrapers and metropolis-type buildings, so it's cool they made another a city world besides Bridgeport.

The Sims 3: Generations is the fourth expansion pack for The Sims 3, which EA announced by press release and video trailer on April 5, 2011. The game was released on May 31, 2011.[1] It contains elements of The Sims 2: Family Fun Stuff, The Sims: House Party, The Sims 2: Teen Style Stuff, The Sims 2: FreeTime, The Sims 2: University, and The Sims 2: Celebration! Stuff. It is the first major expansion pack that does not contain a game manual, instead containing a simple install guide with the serial code attached. All packs from this point on do not contain a manual.

Gameplay[edit]

In The Sims 3: Generations, each life phase has a theme. For children, imagination is the theme. For teens, rebellious, chaotic scenes such as parties while parents are out on vacation and pranks are an addition. As a young adult and adult, the focus is on their relationships with others; from marriage to having children of their own. Elders get to enjoy their time reminiscing about the golden years and the joys of watching their grandchildren grow up.[2]Generations is one of two expansion packs (the other being Seasons) to come without a new town for Sims to explore.[citation needed] Players can now add body hair to males in Create a Sim. Two new traits come with Generations. The first is the rebellious trait, while the second is the nurturing trait. Sims with the rebellious trait can make trouble pulling off various pranks, such as doorbell ditching, adding hair dye to their sibling's shampoo and making the toilet explode. Sims with the nurturing trait are better at taking care of kids and can punish naughty Sims by giving them timeouts, banning video games and grounding them.[3] The player can now enroll child Sims in after-school activities. The two available for children are ballet and scouts. Teenagers can join up to two High School clubs including the sports team, drama club, debate team, school band and student newspaper.

Leaked trailer[edit]

An unofficial trailer[4] was leaked on March 11, 2011. Features shown in the trailer include tree houses, slip-n'-slides, spiral staircases, mid-life crises, family videos, proms, graduation and pranks.

Official trailer[edit]

On April 5, 2011, EA confirmed the rumors with a press release and a game trailer on The Sims 3 Official YouTube Channel.[5]

Soundtrack[edit]

The American pop punk band All Time Low has contributed their song 'Time Bomb' off of their fourth album Dirty Work to the game. It was featured in the Official Sims 3 Generations Announcement trailer and can be heard on the 'Pop' radio station in-game. Portugal. The Man have also contributed the song 'Everything You See (Kids Count Hallelujahs)' from their forthcoming album In The Mountain In The Cloud.
